PROPHETIC POETRY
POEM # 1
Its amazing how you can get high but still feel low/or get drunk & forget last night but still remember the pain from years ago/or how you can have plenty of money but still be broke/u can even go to the funniest comedy show and still feel like a joke/ you could have a range rover & a benz but still no hope/you could have the shiniest watch but still no glow/you could have a house with acres of land but still no home/ what if you had a room full of friends is that when you’ll feel whole/or a masters & a doctrates and you’ve accomplished your goals/what about a successful career or business/or how about being an actor an athlete a lawyer or a dentist/ is this when we cheer and say wow ive finished/ imagine the most beauiful wife with the sweestest heart/or a loving husband that gives you affection and never wants to be apart/is this when youll be fufilled when you find a suitable mate/ is it possible to still be lonely after exchanging wedding rings on your marriage date/what if your finally able to get in that dress because youve lost all that weight/ or you can finally wear a muscle shirt because your benching 6 plates/ladies is it after you’ve bought a new make up kit, did your nails & your hair/ that you finally feel the guys will give you more stares/fellas is it after youve bought the cologne, shoes, and outfit to wear/that you’ve got enough self confidence to talk to that lady over there/what about after the sex do you still feel depressed/does that 5 minute pleasure cure your loneliness/say u dont have sex and your not permiscious/ instead you watch it on a video, & after you masturbate do you still feel ridiculous/ or what if your holy and you’ve kept all the laws/does it make you feel good to point out everyone elses flaws/or say you go to church every sunday and give to the poor on every monday/how long do u feel good for your charitable deeds/ maybe your in the ministy and u win thousands of souls/is it after you’ve done this you can finally feel whole/what if your the type that likes to do good for people/ u’d give your time, money, & talent just for everyone to live peaceful/or say you could care less about causes, your whole life is sports/ you scream at the top of your lungs cheering for your team on the court/ what about after your work when the day is done and your team has already won/wheres the thrill for your life is it in some cause or a game/do you have a place in your heart that feels empty and lame/ or maybe you like fantasy you like to play video games/ how does life feel when the tv is turned off and reality remains/what if all your joy is placed in raising your kids/ when they leave the house will your body ache like your missing a rib/or say u dont have kids all you have is pets/does it fufill you to talk to an animal who hasnt talked to you yet/maybe ur stressed out you got so many bills and debts/ the only satisfaction you get is at dinner time eating a steak or putting butter on a baguette/say your vice isnt food its in the gifts, talents & passion you posses/like music, the arts, rapping dancing, acting, writing & all the rest/say you become really good and achieve your desired success/ur at the top then what do you slowly digress/do you count on all these things to fufil your happiness?/ I know i have im guilty on most of these/At points in my life ive allowed these things to identify/obejectify,specify and even describe me/Thank God he continues to rectify me/He opens up my heart to dissect inside me/ Self examine yourself and ask yourself if you also have done any idolizing/ Dont get me wrong most of these things can be used for good but only through proper prioritizing/Our God is a jealous God and refuses to be second to none/Truly ask Him to show you any improper placement that you’ve done/The truth is we all feel empty at times/ and we pour our hearts into these vices and forget forget the true light that shines/ There is no other substitute His name is Jesus Christ/He’s placed a missing void inside our hearts and its only through Him we will find/but even if your a Christian it doesnt mean your filled all the time/ because the choice to put the joy he freely gives us is made by renewing our minds/If not we’ll go back to the old nature and pick up the wrong pieces to to a puzzle which our hearts were not designed/ the key we all must see is that its through consistency & persitency we must cling to the one who is divine/not in religion but relationship we must pursue after the one who fills the emptiness inside/ if you never accepted Jesus Christ please give Him a try/ He can ease the pain and troubles youve been trying to hide/ Let Him love on you and put His joy inside/ but we all must make an effort to pursue him daily or its back to the meaningless tree of emptiness we will climb/

POEM # 2
The gift buried within
Lord the hardest thing ive ever had to give is not a material possesion/ this things much more valuble than cars, jewlery, houses or any other blessing/ when put in the wrong hands this gift becomes a deadly weapon/ ive seen so many wounded people shot by its devasting effects/ some become coldblooded, angry, upset, and filled with neglect/ some dissasscioate themselves from others for fear of the pain, hurt, and regret/i myself have been exposed to this mental pain and torment/its highly contagious and its in schools,the workplace, relationships, and even the pulpit/people give it freely but get it back in a mangled condition/ some people stop giving it for fear of going through the same stressful repetition/ I must say the effects from the damages it causes can put you in a stale position/instead of viewing others as teammates they become the oppistion/instead of taking the obvious oppurtunies, one begins to question/ What draws the line between foolishness and learning your lesson/ because if we are not careful the very tool that can bring us joy can cause us disheartening depression/as i ponder to myself Lord I have to make this confession/if i dont, being closed off and cold hearted will become an obsession/ The very tool i am talking about that can be used as a weapon is TRUST/ even when i say this word the damaged parts in my heart continue to rust/ I know everyone on this earth has had a painful expierencing with people that has caused them to mistrust/ and truthfully thats the enemies tactic to keep the pain inside till we mentally self combust/ if he can isolate us from others it makes it easier for him to attack us/ i know its not easy to trust when your trust has been broken/ or have hope when your dreams have been stolen/ all i know is one thing that I need my Savior to console in/ because without him the pain from people will leave our hearts so salvaged & swollen/whether it was a relationship,marriage, business, church, family, or friend/ we end up losing if we do not open up our hearts again/ as crazy as that sounds trust bring oppurtunities that bitterness cant imagine/mistrust leads to disgust and will cause seasons of stagnation to happen/who you have chosen to trust in life can bring your life to wonderful journeys and erase the pains of sadness/ when you live in the painful memories of the past your awesome future gets cut short/ because your life will be vacationing to a destination where pain gets no resort/i know this because im expierencing it and have expierinced it before/but im telling you now im not going to allow this pain to ruin me anymore/ i will put all my trust in you Lord and the people you want in my life i wont hold back anything against them for what happened in my past before/ this is an internal struggle i know i will have to face over and over again/ but Lord i wont run and i wont lose because if I cling to you I will always win/ From this day forward my prayer Father is to give me the abilitity to trust again/ after mistreatment and mistrust have tried to enter in/help me to pull out and give to others the gift of trust that ive buried within/

To: the one who never fails.
From: the one who seems to fail
Lord sometimes i feel ur the only one who truly believes in me/ i kno i got a some people who also percieve the real me/ but my family, friends, n them seem to see my faults/ its like no matter what i do they kick a brother to the curb n toss me out like salts/ i kno i make mistakes, fall down n can b careless sometimes/ but im human n i cant help it, thats y i cry out to u in these rhymes/truly i kno i want a pity party and want to sit down n moap/ but im a use it as motivation to motivate myself because im a winner in Christ,and in Him ill boast n gloat/May i always b broken b4 u so to u i pull on like ropes/ when these backstabbers n backbitters do their best to slit n cut my throat/ wen my enemies who say they’re my friends pray for me to choke/wen my relationships and friendships quit on me because we cant seem to cope/ i cling to u with all my heart because Lord ur the one who really cares/ ur always there for me when im drowning in my tears, u sent me ur Holy Spirit to comfort all my fears/ theres no fear of losing wen i kno ur by my side/ just the comfort that we crusin ,gives me the utmost comfort n joy inside/ its in the times of stress and distress i run to u in strides/ i kno the reason u made me was to have some of ur glory to have a place to rest n reside/ people have laughed at me, looked at me and took me as a joke/ i have no successes Lord u r my only hope/i have no other drug to rely on ur my only dope/ ive tried many other things but none can love me like u do/ u see the best in me and overlook the foolish things i do/ u see the real me u kno that i like to have fun n be serious too/u care about wat i care about its awesome that u want to please me too/its crazy because even though i cant touch u or see u, ur warm embrace and belief in me are more apparant then ones im closed to/ Lord please dont get me wrong i love my friends snd family/ but theres no question about it they collectively could not see wat u see wat u see n me/ neither can i Lord honestly sometimes i dont even believe in me/its sad but true n sometimes i need to b hurt, beat down, and feel like dirt because it truly is the only way i realize how much im really worth in u/ i dont know y u love me wen ive done nothing to deserve ur love/ i havent been the best son in fact ive tried to run/On this earth this type of love does not even exist/ cuz here on earth it can be taken away the moment u fail,flop, or flip/ but ur love is unconditional not superficial it doesnt ever stop/i also get mad at u, have doubts in u, but u still keep loving me its like an endless clock/ ur love goes round n round even wen i disobey, delay, n even drop/ u never condemn me or count up all my wrongs/ i dont have anyone one else like u thats y to u my heart belongs/ to the one who never fails me, to the creator and God of all, Jesus Christ my savior thank u for catchin me wen i fail or i fall/

POEM # 4
Lord Help Me
Lord please help me I’m in dire need of help/ its not the drugs,sex,alcoholism, or money thats got me wanting to yelp/ its this people pleasin demon that wants to destroy my relationships, dreams, and health/ Lord i hate it so much but it seems to grip me with a gentle clutch/ no matter how hard i try i feel entagled to the opinons of others like long hair stuck on the bristles of a brush/I mean i hurt my gurl, my family, friends and most of all myself/ its like when i do good i help everyone but myself/i dont want to say no because i dont want anybody to resent me/ but even though i try to please people i still find myself repenting/ u said to love my neighbor as my self that means i do unto others as i would for me/ the only hard part is that i keep forgetting me/Lord theres gotta be a way out something im not seeing/ please show me the escape route because im in desperate need/ to escape the fear of being displeasing and letting people down/ i need to face the facts that i cannot control wheather people choose to smile or frown/Lord help me now because how can i cope in this world trying to please the unpleaseble/ im takin on a tremendous task thats absolutely not feasible/ i know i must have balance and still be reasonable/ because im human and u gave me feelings to use them to be a blessing and a servant/ but if i continue like im going it will feel like a cursing and ill need depressants/ thats y im so thankful i can enter in ur presence/ give thanks ask 4 forgivness and u wash out ur rememberance/ Lord i desire just to please u because this juggling act is making me look like a fool/im balancing doing this task and that task trying to keep people happy that use me like a mule/ it hurt just to say that cuz i didnt want to offend/ but if i dont stop bending over backwards i may get stuck and not be even able to bend/ im sick and tired of the faking and i really hate to pretend/ im going to be more real with others because they are not my source in them i dont depend/ im only responsible for pleasing one person thats my God in heaven/

6. Integrity is doing the right thing in front of people & behind closed doors, integrity is about doing what’s right when nobodies watching or listening. How’s your integrity? Lets examine ourselves and see if there is any lack of integrity in our lives and correct it for our God sees what we do in the light & the dark.
